not as easy these days..
see if the prospect has any type of investment they can use.. then try to leverage that with any assets.

better to stay away from underfunded franchisees these days

The credit crisis has made funding a new franchise much more difficult, but you needn't give up hope. If you research your options and explore the new programs being offered by some franchise companies, it's possible to find innovative approaches that can help solve this issue--even in today's market.

There is a company that provides $125,000 in unsecured business lines of credit for franchisees with a 680+ credit score.

You can read more about their program at www.mbcfunds.com/daveessex.

After recently franchising my business the best piece of advice I have for you is to get a good lawyer! A good franchising attorney can help you in all aspects of getting started...i found my lawyer at www.myfranchiselaw.com but there are a couple other ones.  I think that www.myfranchiselaw.com is better, they have a directory of local attorneys that you can search by state...also your local small business development center may be able to assist you.
