Obviously, to raise capital for any business opportunity, one must have a business plan. I have never actually put one together but now is the time to do so and I was wondering if anybody out there can recommend a good software package? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. THANKS

I'm a small business owner from Troy MI...in my expirience the best way to get help with a business plan is to make an appointment with your local Small Business Development Center! Those folk are awesome...also for legal questions i suggest you visit http://www.myfranchiselaw.com/ you can find a local franchise attorney to answer any questions you have

There are sites that offer free software, even, for construction a business plan. Such programs are included with most any accounting software, but frankly, you don't need them at all.
All you need is a simple spread sheet and an idea as to how your business is going to run. Write it down. I think if you check the Excel website you can probably find a template for a business plan right there.

No, if you use software it does not have to be a current version of a program. The structure of business plans hasn't changed in centuries.
