My franchise has just sent me a "Notice of Termination".

I was wondering if anyone else was put in this situation?

I am not really concerned about being terminated, it actually relieved a lot of stress. But my main concern is being responsible for Legal Fees incurred by the Franchisor, which they want me to pay. I am in contact with a lawyer, but just wanted some scenarios from any others.

In general it most likely depends upon your Franchise Agreement.  If your agreement was terminated for cause, then the agreement most likely invokes a provision that obligates you to pay the franchisor's legal fees.  However, without reviewing your agreement this is only my personal opinion and may not be applicable to your situation.  I would highly recommend having your attorney review your agreement; the answer is most likely spelled out in its terms.

Good luck,

Tom
