I am interested to find out who the software providers are in this market.

I see the one post about Retail Pro. What other ones are used? Do you buy directly or through your franchise corporate office?

Thanks!

For software that generates high local search listings, see http://elementslocal.com .  They specialize in just about every online need for franchises.

Brenda,

It really depends upon what you are trying to do.  Like in any business, there is an array of software solutions and platforms available.

If you are interested in developing relationships with franchisor members of the IFA then your company should join the IFA as a supplier member (if you have not already).

Then it is really a matter of building relationships with the people in franchising and the IFA events provide a great venue for enabling this to happen.

For more specifics on various software solutions that are used or provided in this space, I would suggest looking at the list of supplier members to the IFA.  There you will find all of the vendors that provide custom or hosted solutions to many franchisors.  Outside of that, franchisors use many of the same software solutions that other companies use.
