Is anyone providing there franchisees with  turnkey accounting/operations software?  I wouldlike to provide a hosted system for them which would enable them to do there book and provide inventory visibility among franchisees.  Is anyone doing this, are there any downsides?

We are currently beta testing Service Ceo, which we hope will be develeoped into a web based operations platform. We are also looking at SageFire, which is totally web based, has a complete customer database module, mapping, built in accounting module and allows for the franchisor to log in and see individual franchisee accounts  and/or the entire franchise system stats. We are actively pursuing SageFire as it provides the key elements our franchiees need to run their business easily and allow the franchisor to monitor as well. This system also allows us to setup an automatic royalty dedcutions from the franchisees account, which is the biggest issue with most franchisors today, royalty collection.

The company website is www.sagefire.com.  I will provide more information as we move through the discovery proceses with SageFire.

LavaBlast also supports many of these scenarios via the integration of the various software used by the franchise... but our focus is less on the back-office systems than SageFire. (We've got more software that's customer-facing)

We have multiple store locations and use NetSuite to manage inventory, sales efforts, website, etc.  The system is internet based and all website activity is automatically updated in the backend as is inventory changes, etc.
